Wave of Words
Sydney earned her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Longwood University in 2020. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of Virginia. After graduation, Sydney began her career in the public school system, serving preschool through 8th grade students. She has experience providing both in-person and virtual therapy and is passionate about delivering accessible, individualized care to each child she serves. Sydney started Wave of Words to create a space where families feel supported, therapy feels playful and effective, and every child is celebrated for exactly who they are. As a mom and a beach lover, she knows the value of calm, connection, and finding joy in the little moments—values that guide her approach to working with children and families every day.
